Drama and music are both important elements of a student's curriculum. In addition to building social and communication skills, involvement in drama and music has been shown to improve students' self-esteem as well as their confidence in their academic abilities. Theatre brings play, humor, and laughter to learning; this improves motivation and reduces stress. By contributing to our program, you would be enhancing the overall experience for the participating students by providing them with the tools needed for a successful performance. If you can donate to the Fine Arts, our program will be a success. Items/services needed: props and backdrops, lighting rental, and sound technicians to engineer sound, music, and microphones for the night of the production. In addition, this year we have a new goal to build a large-scale, functioning curtain that can be used outside to enhance the performance's theatrics and professionalism. We will be needing heavy curtain materials, pvc piping, and a pulley system to make this a reality.
